Clouds cover azure sky and blot the sun
Touching the sea at the farthermost side
Resembling the era when time just begun
When God's voice raised land for ocean to divide
Into contienents never to collide
Upon another's blessed bright-lit shore
The world no longer covered; Neptune cried
Sea creatures such as sirens ruled no more
They rest now beneath the water's dark core
Waiting to sink the dirt back under the reefs
Posiden's signal is what they hope for
To avenge their suffering and deep grief
A roar rips roughly through the calm blue waves
As the leviathan drags nations to their graves

I wrote this sonnet while sitting on the beach during a cloudy, gloomy day. It is written in the Spencerian sonnet style, which happens to be my favorite.

This is so good, I particularaly enjoyed the last two lines, very cleverly written, and the alliteration throughout is very well done. The whole thing flows like a gentle stream through the mind.
